Terms and conditions
Last updated: October 23, 2026
The essentials: private tours in our SUV, just for your group. Prices are in Mexican pesos, per group of 1 to 4 people (5 or 6 people: +$1,000 MXN in total). They include private transportation; entrance fees, food and lodging are on you. By booking with us you accept these terms.
This is a translation for your convenience; the Spanish version is the one that applies.
1. Who provides the service
Tours are offered by Jesús Ernesto Casas Chirino, doing business as Mérida Adventure Tours, in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico.
2. What's included and what isn't
- Included: private transportation in an SUV for your group, pickup and return at the place where you stay in Mérida (if you stay outside Mérida, ask us).
- Language: the service is provided in Spanish; your host doesn't speak English.
- Not included: entrance fees to archaeological sites, cenotes, museums or parks; food and drinks; lodging; tips or personal expenses, unless agreed otherwise in writing when you book.
- Itineraries and times on this website are suggestions. We can adjust them with you before the tour.
3. Prices
- Prices are in Mexican pesos (MXN) and are per group, not per person: the same price for 1 to 4 people. For 5 or 6 people, add $1,000 MXN in total. Maximum 6 people in the SUV.
- The price we give you is the final price for the private transportation, with no hidden fees.
- Visits end by 5:00 PM at the latest, when most places close; then we drive back to Mérida. If you want to stay longer, extra time costs from $300 MXN, which you agree with us directly beforehand.
- The price we confirm to you in writing (WhatsApp or email) is the price we honor.
4. Booking and payment
- Your booking is confirmed when we confirm it in writing.
- You can pay in cash or by bank transfer. If you prefer another method, ask us.
- We may ask for a small deposit to hold your date. We'll let you know when we confirm.
- We send you a receipt for your payment.
5. If you cancel or change your tour
- If you cancel at least 24 hours in advance, we refund your full deposit.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before or don't show up without notice, the deposit is not refunded.
- You can change the date at no cost if there is availability and you let us know in time.
- We pick you up where you stay. If you want to leave later or you're running late, message us on WhatsApp and we'll wait; the agreed return time stays the same.
6. If we have to cancel
If we cancel because of weather that makes the trip unsafe, a vehicle breakdown, closure of the places we visit or any reason on our side, we offer you another date or refund 100% of what you paid, whichever you prefer.
7. During the tour
- Times are approximate and may change due to traffic, weather or each place's opening hours.
- Swimming in cenotes and the sea is at your own risk. Follow each place's rules and wear a life jacket when required or if you're not a strong swimmer.
- Let us know before the tour about any health condition, pregnancy or limited mobility we should be aware of.
- Minors always travel with a responsible adult. We don't have baby or child car seats; if you travel with little ones, please bring your own.
- Pets are welcome: tell us their type and size when you book. Some places don't allow pets; we'll confirm which ones do.
- For safety, nobody else may drive the vehicle, and behavior that puts the group at risk is not allowed. We may end the tour, without a refund, if someone acts in a dangerous or violent way.
- Please look after your belongings. We're not responsible for lost or forgotten items, although we'll do our best to help you get them back.
8. Travel insurance and liability
We recommend traveling with travel insurance that covers medical expenses and accidents.
We're not responsible for services provided by others (such as parks, cenotes, restaurants or museums), or for harm caused by not following safety instructions or each place's rules.
9. Photos
If we take photos with you during the tour, we'll only post them on our social media or this website with your permission.
10. Complaints
If something didn't go well, email jesuscasas158@gmail.com or WhatsApp +52 999 558 8502 and we'll make it right. You also have the right to contact Mexico's Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO).
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, including the Federal Consumer Protection Law. Any dispute will be handled by the competent authorities and courts of Mérida, Yucatán. The Spanish version of these terms is the one that applies.
12. Your data
How we use your personal data is explained in our Privacy notice.
